Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-07-01

This Privacy Policy explains what data Predikt collects, how the two money modes differ, and the choices you have. Play money is the default and needs the least data; on-chain trading is optional and involves a public blockchain.

The short version

You can use Predikt in play-money mode with just an account. Real on-chain trading is optional and requires connecting or provisioning a crypto wallet. Anything you do on a public blockchain — your wallet address and its trades — is public by design and outside anyone's control, including ours.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Account information

When you create an account we process your email address and a display name, and — if you choose social sign-in — the basic profile (name, email, and a user identifier) shared by Google or Apple. We use this to sign you in, run your profile, and contact you about your account and support requests.

Play-money activity

In play-money mode we store the markets you create, your forecasts and trades, comments, follows, and your play-money balance and reputation. This is what powers your profile, the leaderboards, and copy-trading. Play money has no cash value and is not redeemable.

Wallet address & on-chain activity

If you opt into real trading, we process your public wallet address to show your positions and route your orders. For convenience we can auto-provision an embedded wallet tied to your account; you can also connect your own. Your on-chain trades, balances, and settlements are recorded on a public blockchain by design — they are visible to anyone and are permanent. We cannot edit, delete, or reverse on-chain records.

On-chain orders are matched by our order relay, which stores the signed orders you submit so it can match and settle them. We never take custody of your private keys or your USDC.

Identity & eligibility checks (where required)

Real-money markets are gated by where you are. To offer them lawfully we may check your region (for example, from your IP address or a region you select) to decide whether on-chain trading is available to you. Play money remains the safe default everywhere.

Where identity verification (KYC) or a fiat on-ramp is required to fund a wallet, that step is handled by a specialized third-party provider that collects and verifies your identity and payment details directly. We receive only a pass/fail result and the minimum needed to enable your account — not your full identity documents. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.

AI market drafting

If you use the assistant to draft a market from a topic or news item, the text you enter is sent to a third-party AI model provider to generate a suggested question and resolution criteria. Don't put personal or sensitive information into these prompts. We don't use your prompts to train models.

Support requests

If you contact support, we store your messages and our replies so we can help you. Please never include a wallet recovery phrase or private key in a message — no one on our team will ever ask for it.

Diagnostics

We may collect basic crash reports and anonymous, aggregated usage data to keep the app stable. These never include your keys or wallet secrets. Where required, optional diagnostics are opt-in and can be turned off in Settings.

Service providers we use

We rely on a small set of processors to run the service: a cloud backend and database provider to store your account and play-money activity; an authentication provider for sign-in (including Google and Apple sign-in) and mobile push notifications; an AI model provider for the drafting assistant; our own order relay for matching on-chain orders; and, for real-money features where applicable, an identity-verification and fiat on-ramp provider. On-chain settlement uses public blockchain contracts and a public, dispute-based oracle that no single party controls. Each provider only receives the data needed for its function.

Your choices

You can use play money without ever enabling real trading. You can edit your profile, control diagnostics where offered, and permanently delete your account and its server-side data at any time (see the Delete account page). Note that data already written to a public blockchain cannot be deleted by anyone.

Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date.
