Terms of Service

By using Predikt (the “App”), you agree to these Terms. Predikt lets you forecast events with free play money and, where you are eligible, trade real markets in USDC on a public blockchain. Please read the eligibility and risk sections carefully.

Eligibility & jurisdiction

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to use the App. Real-money, on-chain markets are not available everywhere and are offered only where permitted by law. We may restrict or disable real-money features based on your region, and you agree not to circumvent those restrictions. Play-money features are provided for entertainment.

You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including whether prediction markets or crypto assets are permitted where you live.

Not financial, investment, or legal advice

The App and its content, prices, and probabilities are for information and entertainment only and are not financial, investment, legal, tax, or trading advice. Prediction-market prices are not guarantees of any outcome. Trading digital assets is risky and you can lose the full amount you stake. You act at your own risk and should seek independent advice where appropriate.

Play money vs. real money

Play-money balances, positions, and rewards have no monetary value, are not redeemable for cash or crypto, and may be adjusted or reset to keep the game fair. Real-money markets settle in USDC on a public blockchain and are entirely separate from play money.

Non-custodial trading

For on-chain markets, you trade from your own wallet. We never take custody of your USDC or your private keys, and we cannot move, freeze, reverse, or recover your funds or transactions. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your wallet and its recovery phrase, and for verifying every transaction before you sign it.

Market resolution

On-chain markets are resolved by a public, dispute-based optimistic oracle, not by us — the outcome is determined by that on-chain process and can be challenged through it. Play-money markets are resolved according to their stated criteria by the market creator or our resolution tools. Resolutions may be delayed by disputes; we are not liable for the outcome an oracle produces.

Fees

Blockchain network (gas) fees and any oracle or protocol fees are set by the relevant network or protocol, not by us. Any platform or trading fees will be disclosed in the App before you confirm. Optional paid features on mobile are billed through your app store under that store's terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App for unlawful activity, market manipulation, wash trading, fraud, money laundering, or to create markets that are illegal, target individuals for harm, or resolve on unlawful outcomes. We may remove markets or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services and public blockchain infrastructure — including a cloud backend, an AI drafting model, an order relay, blockchain networks, an optimistic oracle, and (where applicable) an identity-verification and fiat on-ramp provider. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or actions, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of funds, data, or profits, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, on-chain transactions, or market resolutions.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
